House on the Point I
"House on the Point I" Gouache on Paper 1992 20" x 22"
This large yellow house stood monumentally on the point as I left my marina to go out to Ramsey Creek, where I usually sailed unless I had a crew for the wider water. Loved the round window - reminded me of a bird house! I came close to going aground there a number of times - lots of shoals at low water times.
The painting received the Tiffany & Co Award of Excellence in the 1995 Women's Center Art Show in Chapel Hill, NC.
Original is in private collection.
