Beth Stafford

This small house was one of three on the Cape Fear River where it enters the Atlantic. It was built long after the fort was out of use as a dormitory for the NC Baptist Assembly, which maintained the grounds and buildings and gave a lot of people some great memories of time spent on the island! Remnants of the fort are all around - there is a powerful sense of history there.
